Event Details

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a meet-up event but, instead, an opportunity for families to attend the event at a deeply discounted rate with group tickets offered through Heritage.  Feel free to schedule a meet-up at the event with other families at your leisure or on the Facebook group.

Japan Fest Atlanta is returning in 2024 for a 2-day festival, going from September 21st - 22nd at the Gas South Convention Center in Duluth.  This popular event offers immersive ways to learn all about the Land of the Rising Sun.  As this is a 2-day event, ANY TICKETS PURCHASED WILL PROVIDE ADMISSION ON EITHER DAY.  According to https://www.japanfest.org/, the festival will have something for everyone, such as:  

  • Food from Japanese food vendors 
  • An Anime Village and Cosplay Contest
  • Cultural workshops
  • Stands to shop for Japanese wares
  • Martial arts performances
  • Game booths
  • Kids activities
  • Live performances in music, art, comedy, instruments, samurai sword, and rakugo (storytelling)
  • And much more...  

For those who are curious, there is also the opportunity to learn about Japanese businesses in the local Atlanta area.  

Cost: $7.50/person (this is a discounted rate we are getting as a non-profit organization; regular tickets will cost $20/person at the door). Children ages 6 and under are free.  

Parking: Event parking at the convention center, according to the info on https://www.japanfest.org/faq, will be $5 via credit card. 

Bag Policy:  Approved Bags (random checks may be performed by security) - Clear vinyl, plastic, or PVC bags, diaper bags & medically necessary items, and small clutch bags. Non-Approved Bags: Suitcases and other large bags
