Fall Recess Monitor

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up and storing recess equipment

• Supervising children during outdoor play

• Helping maintain a safe and appropriate play environment

• Following the Disciplinary Protocol when incidents arise

Outdoor playtime begins at/around 12:20 pm. Coverage is needed for the front lawn, side grass area and the hill. Smaller children (ages 8 and under) are designated to the front lawn, unless their parent or trusted adult walks them to another play area where there is coverage.

Monitors should ensure that any balls, chalk, toys etc. are put back in designated bins or storage once recess has concluded. Any incidents should immediately be reported to the leadership and designated parent/adult for children involved in said incident.

If there are broken items, please ensure that leadership is notified.
