Hello TLCC Families!

The TLCC Legacy Media Lab class is proud to launch our very first co-op-wide Drawing Contest — and ALL co-op students are invited to enter!

THE THEME: Storytellers of the Past, Present & Future

For as long as human beings have existed, there have been storytellers.

In ancient times, they were griots, bards and scribes — keepers of history who made sure nothing important was ever lost. In other eras, they were painters, poets, and playwrights. Today, they are journalists, podcasters, filmmakers, photographers, and content creators. The form changes. The mission never does.

Storytellers shape how we see the world. They decide what gets remembered and what gets forgotten. They hold more power than most people realize — and that power has always belonged to the people bold enough to pick up the pen, the brush, the microphone, or the camera.

For this contest, we want participants to think across time and ask:

  • Who were the storytellers of the past?

  • Who are the storytellers of the present?

  • And who will the storytellers of the future be?

Their drawing should capture something about that journey — a storyteller from history, a modern voice, a vision of what's coming, or all three woven together. There is no single right answer. The only requirement is that their drawing reflects the idea that storytelling has always mattered — and always will.

Any interpretation is welcome. This is your vision. Trust it!
