Spring is Here!

April is here and we can feel the shift of preparing for summer. Summer camp, travel plans, what about the Fall? Although for most families this is wind down time for the school year–it can also be high preparation time for deciding on curriculum, homeschool programs, and other decisions for the upcoming school year.
Even though there are many decisions to be made, we encourage you to slow down and be present. Use this time to relish on the fact that you are in a new season. Spring is a time of growth, blooming and reflection. What worked well? What do you want to improve? Spring is the time to put the thoughts into motion. If you feel like you’re just starting to come out of a fog, you are right on time.
What has gone well for you this year? What memories did you make? What do you need in this season and how can you work towards receiving it? Community is a theme our group has continuously tried to put at the forefront. We know that homeschooling and parenthood can be heavy, sometimes lonely, and being in community can be a helpful tool to navigate those challenging times.
If you are new to homeschooling, getting connected to a group is an essential piece of a homeschool journey. If you have been homeschooling for a couple of years–stay grounded on your way. Small pieces may shift but your foundation should stay strong on why you’re choosing this path. Homeschooling vet? Stay strong! As the middle school years approach, keep the joy of homeschooling! Activities, experiences and staying connected with others is imperative during these years as your tween/teen begins navigating more independence and maturing.
Hopefully, this message gives you a chance to reflect on your journey. Hang in there, you’ve got this!
Until Next Time,
The TLCC Team
